A Sibling’s Heart

To give money
Would be too cheap
And flowers bloom
Their beauty’s brief
A painting sweet
In a moment’s time
With colors I
Could not combine
To spin the sun
Would be a start
The wind, the sea
And a sibling’s heart

Like word and letters
From an alphabet
Your language one
You will not forget
But compassion’s knot
Cannot be undone
So keep it safe
Hold anyone
And if the rest
Should come undone
Take a breath
Back where you’re from

To us to those
You’re solid ground
As you are mine
Your laughter loud
As we are one
On this gentle train
To help to heal
And free from pain
So let everyday
Still be a start
With pride with will
And a sibling’s heart.
